painting with the colours of the wind

people escape from reality through mirrors, wardrobes and secret doorways.
mine came in the form of words.

thus, i am wide awake but dreaming.

close your eyes for just a short while and wake in a sprawling meadow littered with dots of purple and white flowers.

the sun could set, or the sun could rise but the only sure thing is there will always be rainbows at night.

run around, never look back.

sing with the voices you hear from the mountains

catch the falling stars before they land and break.

twirl candy-canes through fluffs of purple and pink clouds

and throw yourself upon the bouncy green grass.

let your laughter ring loud and clear,

sending twinkles of glitter through the horizon.

paint a picture with all the colours you see

before you close your eyes.

close your eyes, just once more...


it will all be gone, but not completely.
carry the wondrous place in your heart


and remember, it's only one blink away.
