principles..

i still have a problem of delving deeper into opinions and facts and opt to stay on the surface of things.
so here goes.

people are boycotting certain products for a good cause. some people think it might not make any difference, some think it makes all the difference in the world. it is up to you. i did, halfway. because try as you might, can you really live without any products or services that originated from the Semitics? (sbenanye tatau cmne nk gune word tu tp blasah aje coz it is more sopan.) so there. respect people's principles, either pro or anti, and don't take things to certain extremities.

an e-mail from a colleague this morning stating that she doesn't want our event this friday to go under the title V-Day got me thinking. 14th february came and went every year with the same warnings and scary history to scare us from celebrating it. and what good did that do? yes, i don't deny that it has an origin opposed to some of our beliefs but when you do celebrate, are you celebrating the history, the St., what happened a long time ago or do you just want an excuse to lavish your loved ones with cheesy corny goofy gifts? it's fun when everyone does the same thing, kan. so you're not alone buying heart-shaped pillows with long arms with the words "hug me" on it. mengaku ajelah. dressing up and going out for dinner... hmm maybe that's overrated? or only the girls yang perasan nak pegi. whatever. and the promos that come with it, aiyoo crazy la you if you don't take advantage of them. heh. but if you don't want to acknowledge the day to that extent, then happy luvly 14th february to you. for those yang tak kisah, happy V-Day. for me? happy anniversary.

i have other principles to touch on concerning concerts and gigs and how people judge others by their external appearance and how that very thing made some girls such as yours truly uninvited to black-tie events and.....*ehem*

to end in a not-very-serious mood, Z (names have been changed to protect privacy) gave this comment after hearing about a celebrity guy hitting his other half:

"tu lah, kesian raihana. terus tak dapat datang malaysia."

'
...err...raihana tu siapa?'

"raihana lah. tu yang nyanyi lagu disturbia tu. kena reschedule konsert dia."

hee. sebutlah betul2 nama orang tu. tak pasal2 bunyinye macam dah masuk islam.
okay, sekian.

i dont hv to even care abt feb the fortinth. aku xde sape. and itu bukan kata2 mengeluh @ kesal. i have my baby D-Kon. oh not forgetting tako-chang.

and basically girls je yg bg aku info ttg sejarah valentine. apakah yg lelaki x pedulik ttg sejarah nye, atau btul2 x sambut valentine, ataupn going out on dat day would be a typical date.

ataupn aku cume close dgn guyz yg masih single. ataupn aku xde keperluan nk ngontek sape2. oh dat must be it lah. hehe

dan kenapalah dia pgil raihana. kan dah sng nama dia hanya perlu disebut dgn baku. reti pulak dia nk ry-ry kan perkataan 'ri'

    happy anniversary ilie!
    senyum semanis teh tarik!

  2. I for one think that to have one day to tell the people you care about how much you love them is nothing more than to give our loved ones a special something to brighten up their day. Don't get me wrong, I think having a day dedicated to Love is a great idea, but I believe that telling the people in your life how much you care about them should not just fall on v-day. 14 February it's just a date which is they choose to celebrate the v-day, but for me, everyday is a v-day. Date doesn't mean anything, what u did on that day is more important.

  3. >syarafie,
just to have a day when girls can go gaga over pink stuff and guys can splurge smpai habis duit pastu end up membenci aweknye keesokan hari haha. ain't that the real meaning? menghabiskan hari anda bersama D-Kon lebih bermakna drp dgn gefren sbb D-Kon takkan membebel kpd anda.

thanks! tapi teh tarik kadang2 ade org mintak kurang manis camne tu?

    >skullsplitter,
totally agree but come on mari take advantage of all those discounts on chocolates and stuff.
tapi tiap2 hari wajib ckp i love you. ahaks.
tiap2 hari v-day kan bagi kamu.
    nice insight.
